Embattled Nigerian singer Lil Frosh has resurfaced on social media, revisiting the assault allegations leveled against him by his ex-girlfriend, Gift Camille, popularly known as Cute Gemini.
The controversial singer claims that he was framed and intentionally set up by Gift Camille, leading to his expulsion from DMW Records two years ago.
Lil Frosh took to his Instagram account to share his side of the story, insisting on his innocence amidst a trending topic involving Gift allegedly framing and jailing a TikTokker.
The singer revealed that the issues in their relationship began when Cute Gemini disrespected his mother, prompting him to slap her in response.
Lil Frosh admitted to the act and apologized, vowing never to repeat such behaviour.
According to Lil Frosh, five months later, Gift Camille suffered an allergic reaction, which he claims to have been unaware of until she used the resulting swelling to frame him as an abuser.
The singer asserted that he was blackmailed and framed in the entire situation.
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to present his side of the story, Lil Frosh pleaded with Nigerians and his former boss, Davido, to give him a second chance.
The singer emphasized the toll the allegations took on his career, citing the negative comments and backlash on social media.
Lil Frosh claimed that despite his innocence, he struggled to regain his footing in the music industry.
“I thank God for the opportunity that just presented itself,God knows I did not beat Gemini. I was framed I was blackmailed, and after all I paid. I still can’t get my career back because of the lies that was told against me. Nobody gave me listening ears, I tried to explain to my BOSS @davido but he didn’t want to listen because he has zero tolerance for hitting women. Please guys help me I am innocent, help me beg Davido to give me a chance again, Nigerians God bare me witness I am innocent,” Lil Frosh said.
