‘No gree for anybody’ could breed violence – Alexx Ekubo warns Nigerians

The actor urges his compatriots to embrace unity and understanding instead, highlighting the importance of promoting peace and collective progress

Popular Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has raised concern over the potentially violent consequences of adopting the new divisive mindset.

Alex Ekubo took to his social media platform to share his thoughts on the popular phrase ‘No gree for anybody’.

While acknowledging the use of such expressions as a form of self-empowerment, he pointed out that if taken to extreme lengths, it could inadvertently fan the flames of violence.

Since the beginning of 2024, the phrase “no gree for anybody” has gone ubiquitous on Nigerian social media.

Alex Ekubo has however cautioned Nigerians in a new post made on his Instagram page, stating that the terminology might encourage violence and a culture of retaliation, if care is not taken.

He wrote :

“I took time out to introspect. As I crawl out of my solemn place, I can see the same negativity and gbas gbos that have stunted our progress.

“Please what is ‘No gree for anybody’ that I’m seeing everywhere? It is breeding violence and fostering revenge culture.

“Can we instead be more tolerable and considerate towards others? Be kind, everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. We are raised under different circumstances, with different degrees of luck.”

In another story, Actor Alex Ekubo gets tongues wagging over his body massage session with female colleague, Idia Aisen .

Alex, Idia Aisen alongside Nigerian on-air personality, Stephanie Coker and friends, over the weekend, took a fun trip to Abuja.

The entertainers accompanied Idia Aisen to a Spa Centre in Abuja, where she took good care of herself.

In the clip sighted on Ekubo’s page, Idia Aisen was seen lying down on massage table with white towel covering her underparts as Alex Ekubo and Stephanie massaged her body in a way some Spa centre’s staff found amusing.
