Actor Sam Dede has called on the public and his colleagues to help movie director, Reginald Ebere who is currently bedridden.
The actor and another filmmaker, Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen made the appeal on the set of the return of the 2001 hit film Issakaba, written by Reginald.
In a video shared by actress Iyabo Ojo on Instagram, Sam and Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen could be seen asking for financial support for the ailing filmmaker.
Sam Dede said:
“Reginald Ebere wrote the very first script of Issakaba and incidentally it was I who changed the name of the lead character to Ebube.
Today Reginald Ebere is bedridden. He suffered stroke two times but very strong-willed person. He is still moving on but he is a bad shape, If you live in that concept of truth and justice, please let us find a way to support Reginald Ebere.
If there is anything you can do to support him, please look him up to support him.”
Lancelot Oduwa immediately organised a fundraiser on set and many of his colleagues donated money to the actor. Sam Dede and Lancelot Oduwa donated N100k each to the sick actor.
Recall in 2018, Reginald Ebere slumped on a movie set and has been suffering stroke since then.
The forthcoming Issakaba remake will feature the original cast and lead actor Sam Dede, actor Chidi Mokeme, Regina Daniels, Iyabo Ojo, and Rita Daniels.
Reginald directed movies like Last Burial, One God One Nation, The God to Serve, Message, Unwanted, Last Affair, Tom and Jerry, and Venom of Justice.
