He is looking so old – Fans express concern for Wizkid over his recent appearance at UK event (VIDEO)

When it comes to Afrobeats, Nigerian fans hold the Machala crooner, the Starboy himself, WizKid, in unparalleled reverence. His devoted fanbase doesn't take any slight concerns lightly, and this was glaringly apparent yet again when a video of Big Wiz's UK event stint sparked waves of unease among his followers. They voiced their distress, lamenting that their idol seemed to be aging rapidly.

Afrobeats aficionados and die-hard fans of superstar singer, Ayodeji Balogun, famously known as Wizkid, are expressing genuine concern online following his recent appearance at an event.

The music maestro graced the UK premiere of “Bob Marley: One Love” in London, where footage of him strutting with flair on the red carpet, posing for the paparazzi, and exuding superstar charisma quickly circulated.

“Bob Marley: One Love” movie is based on the life of legendary reggae singer and songwriter Bob Marley, from his rise to fame up until his death in 1981 and how his music and lyrical genius changed the world.

In other news, A list of African artists who have received the coveted Grammy Award since the 1960s was recently revealed by organisers ahead of the 66th Grammy Awards, slated to take place on February 4.

The list, which features prominent accomplishments in global music recognition, notably excluded Wizkid and Tems.

This was somewhat surprising to their fans considering that the two Nigerian stars were once featured in songs that bagged prestigious recognition.

The late South African singer Miriam Makeba was the first on the list as the first African to win a Grammy.

The Nigerian/British pop sensation Sade also made it to the list.

However, Burna Boy is the most recent and last Nigerian musician to achieve the feat so far.
