Big Brother Naija reality TV star cum Nollywood film actress, Erica Nlewedim has been berated by her fans, in reaction to a recent video where she was pole dancing, a hobby she dropped three years ago.

Pole dance is a combination of dance and acrobatics centered around a vertical pole. This performance art form takes place not only in gentlemen’s clubs as erotic dance, but also as a mainstream form of fitness, practiced in gyms and dedicated dance studios.

Erica Nweledim once took the recreational activity very seriously but dropped it following her participation on the BBNaija reality show after her disqualification.

In a new post via the micro-blogging platform, X, the actress resumed her pole dancing classes while sharing a video from her first practice.

Sharing the video, she emphasized taking a three-year break and how happy it made her to be back at what she enjoys doing. She captioned the video:

“Back after a three year break 🥳.”

The video has since generated a wave of reactions from social media users who argued that although they love her, she does not have the sex appeal for such practice.
