Maverick singer Charly Boy,has taken a moment to commend former Presidential candidate Peter Obi for his down-to-earth approach in attending the Eagles’ match.

Recall that Obi was in Abidjan, the capital of Côte d’Ivoire, for the Super Eagles and Angola quarterfinal match.

Charly reacted on Saturday, praising the former governor of Anambra State for being outside in the fan stand rather than inside “a bulletproof cabin.”

Charly Boy praised Peter Obi’s dedication to connect with his citizens just like he has always acknowledged the importance of leaders establishing genuine connections with the people they serve.

He shared a video of Peter Obi from the fans stand during the game and wrote:

Nigeria vs Angola Quarter Finals, he was there live with fans, not inside a bulletproof cabin. 1-0. We move.”

In another story, Charly Boy reacts to calls for his arrest over inciting comment.

In a tweet on Saturday, the outspoken musician challenged Nigerian teenagers to follow in the footsteps of French protestors who destroyed public property in response to the shooting of a 17-year-old youth by police near Paris on Tuesday.

Charly Boy, who shared a video of protesters burning down buildings in France, claimed that was what he expected Nigerian youths to do to “reject the system that let them down.”

He wrote, “Na only me just dey Laff as guys just dey Kpara on top my Post, pple come dey even call for my arrest, see monkeys.

“DSS can’t arrest criminals but can arrest people who speak against criminals. You’re a useless Nigerian.

“Because I charged the Youths of Nigeria to take their destiny in their hands and bring down a criminal Enterprise, some Mumu persons come dey form gangster on top my post [sic].
