Despite the Grammy disappointment, Afrobeats sensation Davido is keeping his spirits up, was seen in a jovial mood at the awards ceremony’s after-party surrounded by loved ones.
Recall that at the 66th Grammy Awards, the OBO Crooner missed out on winning in all three categories he was nominated for.
Davido’s songs ‘Feel’ and ‘Unavailable’ were up for Best Global Music Performance and Best African Music Performance respectively, while his album ‘Timeless’ was in the running for Album of the Year.
Despite the nods, he didn’t clinch any of the awards.
Following the award ceremony, a private after-party was thrown to fête the singer’s trio of Grammy nominations, captured in lively videos shared by his cousins.
Davido’s wife, Chioma Adeleke, and cousin Folashade Adeleke, along with others, were depicted in a jovial atmosphere, showering the music star with affection and encouragement, effectively eclipsing any lingering disappointment from not securing a Grammy win.

Meanwhile, the DMW Boss has felicitated South African female rapper, Tyla, for emerging victorious in the inaugural Best African Music Performance category at the 66th Grammy Awards ceremony.
Tyla’s song, ‘Water’ came top against ‘Amapiano’ by Asake and Olamide; ‘City Boys’ by Burna Boy. ‘Unavailable’ by Davido featuring Musa Keys; and ‘Rush’ by Ayra Starr.
The ‘Unavailable’ crooner took to his X handle early Monday to express his joy, despite losing out on all three nominations.
“Congratulations on your win @Tyllaaaaaaa! Big One for africa! Keep soaring!” the tweet read.
It wasn’t a great night for the Nigerian contingent as Davido lost all his three nominations while Burna Boy lost all four with no Nigerian picking up an award despite having 10 nominations between them.
