Nigerian Afro-fusion star Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, lost out in all four nominated categories at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles despite receiving nominations in each category.
The Afro-fusion star, who previously won a Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album in a previous edition, entered the 66th Grammy Awards with high expectations.
However, the outcome was not in his favour, as he left the star-studded ceremony empty-handed.
Burna Boy received nominations in diverse categories, including Best Global Music Album for his work on “I Told Them…“, the inaugural Best African Music Performance with “City Boys“, Best Global Music Performance for “Alone”, and Best Melodic Rap Performance with “Sittin’ On Top Of The World.”
Despite the anticipation and fervent support from fans, the talented singer faced stiff competition in each of his nominated categories.
The Grammy Awards reportedly recognized other outstanding artists, leaving Burna Boy without any wins.
