Femi Adebayo, the actor and filmmaker, has disclosed Jimi Solanke, the renowned storyteller, actor, and poet, as the voice behind the narration in his hit film “Jagun Jagun.”
The movie star shared this revelation in an Instagram post on Tuesday, paying tribute to Solanke, who passed away on Monday while on his way to the hospital.
Posting a clip from the film, Femi emphasized how Solanke’s voice infused life into every moment, leaving indelible memories in the hearts of the fans.
He wrote: “My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of the legendary voice actor and storyteller – Jimi Solanke. The mesmerizing tale of “Jagun Jagun” was narrated by Jimi Solanke.
“His profound voice breathes life into each moment, leaving unforgettable memories in our hearts. May fond memories and solace bring us comfort during this difficult time. I extend my condolences to his family and everyone affected by his passing.”

The legendary poet and playwright died on Monday at the age of 81.
He was said to have died while being rushed from his country home at Ipara Remo in Remo North Local Government Area of Ogun State to Babcock University Teaching Hospital, Ilisan when he succumbed to the cold hand of death.
Chief Solanke was said to have been in and out of hospital from December until he died on Monday morning.
He is known for Kongi’s Harvest, Sango, Shadow Parties, and many more. He is also referred to as Uncle Jimi.
