Reality TV star and brand influencer, Doyin David, has opened up on the challenges of participating in the widely popular reality show, Big Brother Naija.
Doyin, who was a participant in both the “Level Up” and “All Stars” seasons, expressed her belief that the show is not suitable for anyone lacking strong mental stability.
The BBNaija star shared her insights on the challenges in an interview with The Morning Brief.
While reflecting on her life after the show, Doyin acknowledged the financial opportunities that come with being part of Big Brother Naija.
However, she emphasized the potential negative impact on contestants’ mental health due to exposure and judgment from the public.
Doyin David pointed out the importance of being mentally grounded and self-aware before considering participation in a reality TV show of such magnitude.
She cautioned against anyone with unresolved mental health issues,

“I keep saying it. If you are not like mentally grounded and you are not sure about who you are and the type of person that you are, maybe you still have like issues with your mental health, I will not advise you to go on that show.”
The BBNaija star acknowledged the flaws on the show but also noted that the positive aspects outweigh the negatives.
She urged potential participants to carefully assess their mental well-being and self-awareness, as the intense scrutiny and public opinions associated with reality TV can pose challenges.
