- Iyabo Ojo has revealed she will not be attending the Real Housewives of Lagos season two reunion.
- The actress and mother of two stated that the reason is because her loved ones, children, man and family have kicked against her attendance.
- This comes after Iyabo Ojo faced backlash following her fight with costars, Laura Ikeji and Faith Morey.
Actress Iyabo Ojo has said she will not be attending The Real Housewives of Lagos season two reunion.
The 46-year-old announced this in an Instagram post on Thursday, February 8.
Iyabo Ojo said she decided not to attend after listening to her family and loved ones.
The light skinned mother of two captioned her post:
“After a lot of back and forth, I choose to listen to my family, loved ones, most especially my man and my children, and also the brands I work with, so I will not be attending the RHOLagos2 reunion.”
Iyabo said she chose to become the villain in the second season of the show because the producers told her she had low ratings in the first season.
She explained that after receiving feedback about her low ratings in the first season, she decided to step up her game in the second season and become the villain by adding a touch of drama. Iyabo Ojo said on Instagram in 2023:
“There is no real housewives without drama, It is not possible. So if you choose to not give drama, you know you have to be on the calm side. Last year, Laura chose to give drama and that is why most of the time when we asked Laura “Why are you behaving like this?” She would say it’s for the show, no hard feelings. That does not mean that fights don’t happen on the show.
“There are certain things that happen on the show, that you are given directives to do. For me, the show told me that in season one, my ratings were low because I did not do any drama, I really didn’t do drama so my ratings were low. So I said this year, I said I will give drama,”
