Burna Boy fires back, knocks Eedris Abdulkareem for dragging him in recent interview

Eedris Abdulkareem recently let loose on a podcast, throwing Burna Boy under the bus for a controversial statement he made back in 2020. But Burna, not one to take things lying down, fired back with his own dose of fire and brimstone on social media, setting the online world abuzz with their fiery exchange

Burna Boy, the Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, has criticized veteran rapper Idris Abdulkareem, who categorized his statement from 2020 about no artist paving the way for his career as ‘stupid talk’.

In an unreleased snippet from the popular podcast “The Honest Bunch,” the Jaga Jaga hitmaker addressed the misconception that Burna Boy has with his colleagues.

In 2020, the ‘Last Last’ crooner caused a stir on the internet when he claimed that none of his senior colleagues paved the way for him.

According to Burna, in the Nigerian music scene, nobody ever lent him a hand because everyone was too caught up either in their own pursuits or in begrudging others’ success.

The podcast slated for release on Monday, February 19, saw Eedris unleashing his wrath at his younger counterpart regarding his statement.

His words: “You hear someone like Burna Boy say no one helped him in Nigeria. That’s stupid talk.”

After Abdulkareem’s remarks, Burna Boy took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to fire back.

In a now-deleted post, he not only threatened to settle the score with the veteran rapper whenever they crossed paths but also rubbed salt in the wound by mentioning Abdulkareem’s recent kidney battle.

His statement on social media read, “Abdul Kareem abi wetin dem dey call your papa, I no blame you. I blame people wey donate money for your hospital bills. And I wish say you be person ey fit dey enter the kind places wey I dey dey. make we use mistake kam.”
