“You go explain taya” – Rudeboy shades Eedris Abdulkareem as he weighs in on his rift with Burna Boy

Rudeboy tackles Eedris Abdulkareem as he airs his view on the latter's clash with Burna Boy.

Nigerian artist Paul Okoye, famously known as Rudeboy, weighs in on the ongoing dispute between his fellow musicians, Eedris Abdulkareem and Burna Boy.

The conflict ensued when Burna Boy faced criticism from Eedris Abdulkareem for his claim that he never received support in Nigeria for his music career and for allegedly copying Fela’s music.

In response, Rudeboy took a swipe at Eedris for always claiming he fought for the music industry. He criticized Abdulkareem for consistently disparaging musicians whenever an opportunity arose.

Rudeboy recounted an incident from over 20 years ago when top Nigerian artists, including himself, united to voice concerns about payment conditions and treatment during a 50 Cent show.

However, Eedris allegedly accepted minimal payment behind their backs.

Rudeboy questioned Eedris’s expectation of VIP treatment after accepting meagre payment, and he condemned Eedris’s habit of insulting various artists, including Tuface, Psquare, Timaya, and D’banj, and now Burna Boy.

In his words:

“Every eke market day we go de hear “I fought for the industry” na me cook de food wey una dey chop 66
I go just de laugh Now you wan reply with music you go reply taya !!!

7 Over 20yrs i have kept silence about what really transpired, how we top Nigerian artists as of then agreed with one voice, about payment conditions and treatments on same 50cent show, only for this greedy guy to go behind and collected peanut.. you de expect vip treatment ontop peanut payment?

You keep insulting any artiste at every opportunity, if is not tuface, is psquare, Timaya, dbanj, now na Burna… you go explain taya !!”
