Seyi Tinubu faces backlash as he speaks on the worsening hardship on Nigerians

Amid Nigeria's darkest hour, plagued by surging exchange rates, inflation gripping necessities like food items and fuel, and a surge in crime rate, Seyi Tinubu has come out to acknowledge these pressing issues. However, his call for endurance and resilience on social media faced a swift backlash from enraged Nigerians, who vehemently expressed their discontent and frustration, giving him an earful in response.

On Monday, February 19, Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, reiterated his unwavering confidence in his father’s leadership, affirming that Nigeria is in capable hands.

Drawing from his father’s presidential address on Nigeria’s 63rd Independence anniversary, Seyi expressed his belief in his father’s ability to navigate the nation’s course with excellence.

In his speech, President Tinubu addressed the current challenges confronting Nigeria, asserting that the present generation will eventually reap the rewards of enduring these hardships.

His Instagram post reads:

There is no joy in seeing the people of this nation shoulder burdens that should have been shed years ago. I wish today’s difficulties did not exist. But we must endure if we are to reach the good side of our future,” – President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Bola A Tinubu. #HaveFaithinHim #NigeriaisinGreatHands #OurGenerationwillYieldthefruitsofthishardship #IStandwithOurPresident #RenewedHope #NigeriaismyHome.”

As expected, enraged Nigerians vented their frustrations on social media, criticized Seyi Tinubu’s stance on advocating endurance of the hardship rather than directly addressing and resolving the underlying issues.

In related news, Comedian and actor Lawrence Oluwaseyitan Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law, has reiterated his support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Seyi Law, a vehement supporter of Tinubu, in a message on his verified X handle, urged Nigerians to support the Tinubu-led administration, noting that “things would get better”.

The comedian made an allusion to the tale of Moses in the Holy Bible, stating, “I would rather stay with a Moses through the wilderness to Canaan than eat meat and drink wine in slavery in Egypt at the expense of my children’s future.”
