Jorja Smith speaks on her collaboration with Grammy winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy


Jorja Smith, a British singer, has described her experience working with Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning Nigerian musician.

According to Jorja Smith, Burna Boy is such an amazing artist and being in the studio with him was a wonderful experience.

Jorja emphasized on how unique Burna Boy’s creative process is, she stated it was sick that Burna Boy does not write his songs but instead freestyles.

She claims that Burna Boy only does in-studio freestyles till they make sense.

“Working with Burna Boy is sick. He was just freestyling whatever was coming to him over and over again until it made sense” she said.

You may recall that Jorja Smith and Burna Boy previously worked together on the popular songs “Be Honest” and “Gum Body” from Burna Boy’s 2019 album “African Giant.”

Few months ago, German musicians flew to Nigeria to seek a collaboration with Burna Boy, hit Singer’s studio in Lagos .

The sensational German music trio, 255, pronounced ‘Two Fifty-Five’, revealed that they traveled to Nigeria to record a song with Grammy winner, Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy.

The music group which comprises of Charles, Guy, and Louis, all flew down to Lagos state.

Taking to social media, 255 posted a clip which documented their journey from when they went to the airport, to the point they touched down Lagos and were welcomed by the ‘Common Person’ hit maker.

In the clip, Burna Boy, 255 and their team all seemed excited in the studio as they vibed to the song after the recording was done.

Fans took to the comment section of the post to applaud their efforts and hail the Afrobeats Superstar.
