Popular Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth, had a witty response for a troll who accused him of being part of Nigeria’s problem.

The X user wrote:

“Did Basketmouth vote for good governance on election day? Basketmouth had a show slated for 25th Feb 2023. He is part of Nigeria’s problem.”

However, the comedian quickly shut down the criticism with his humor, he emphasized the ridiculousness of being held responsible for the country’s economic and infrastructural woes, the present currency rate, power grid troubles, and even the famed “snake that swallowed $100,000” incident.

In his words:

“Oh yes!!! I guess I am really the problem!! I’m the reason the $ is now N1,700 and counting. I’m the one that keeps collapsing the power grid. I’m the reason the refineries don’t work. I’m the snake that swallowed $100,000. I guess I am the one.”

A concerned follower responded to the comic’s tweet, telling him to be aware of individuals attempting to deceive him wencouraging him to remain vigilant. Basketmouth said hilariously, “Now that’s the problem.”I am out of gas.”

To another worried fan, Basketmouth replied that he took action against the troll to increase demand for his next performance.

In his words:

“Me? Na market me dey sell oh. This whole conversation will spike ticket sales… It’s working already…mission accomplished.”

In another story Basketmouth reveals plans to bring 2Baba back to Nollywood.

In a recent post on social media, Basketmouth praised 2Baba’s performance in the most recent episode of his skits, ‘The Secret Of Lulu’, and advised him to pursue a full acting career with his Tiv ascent.

Basketmouth is determined to make this dream collaboration a reality, he stated that he is already developing a project for 2Baba’s comic persona in the skit.
