Nigerian film actress, Ekene Umenwa and her filmmaker husband, Ifeanyi Ogbodo Alex have embarked on a trip to Morocco for their honeymoon.

The Baby Nanny actress posted a video of herself and her husband on Instagram on Tuesday, taking a tour around the country.

The video shows some of the places the couple visited including a beach, a restaurant and a shopping plaza.

Captioning the video, Ekene Umenwa wrote:

“Hello Morocco”.

Reacting in the comment section of the post, Ekene’s husband, Ifeanyi Ogbodo wrote:

“ASA kleanson, Gift from God your happiness is my utmost goal… #EA2023.”

This comes after the actress took a trip to the United Kingdom.

The actress was heavily criticised after a viral video captured her leaving her husband’s side and kneeling before gospel singer, Moses Bliss who made a surprise appearance at their wedding reception in November 2023.

Weeks after the wedding controversy, Ekene Umenwa again came under fire for sharing a video of her putting hands on her husband’s head and praying fervently for him.

The video was shared as he celebrated his birthday and Ekene revealed she surprised her husband with a group of friends, family members and well wishers who came around.

In the video, a praise and worship session holds, followed by prayer. Ekene is then seen with her hands on her husband’s head, praying passionately for him.

The video met with both praise but majorly criticism. Some applauded her for being a prayerful wife but many questioned why she chose to display the act on social media.
