Funke Akindele, Toyin Lawani defend Faith Morey over body-shaming comment from TV presenter

Funke Akindele, Toyin Lawani react to ‘offensive’ comment from TV presenter

Actress cum filmmaker, Funke Akindele and fashion stylist, Toyin Lawani have defended reality star, Faith Morey against a Galaxy TV presenter who body shamed her.

The media personality whose name is Kenny Obinna, during the entertainment segment of the show, expressed his disapproval over Faith undergoing breast enlargement surgery, saying that he prefers women with natural bodies. In his words:

“I don’t like a woman who has gone under the knife, I will never ever support it. So Faith Morey if I am the last man in this world, I’ll never look at your side, I prefer to marry yam than marry you.”

Reacting in an Instagram post on Wednesday, February 21, Funke Akindele drummed support for Faith, describing her as gorgeous and sexy while Toyin criticised the presenter for his comment. Funke Akindele wrote:

We love you FAITH. You’re gorgeous and sexy. @moreyfaith.”

Not when you look like the yam you are talking about fattty plssssssssss move,” Toyin Lawani added.

Faith Morey stars alongside Toyin Lawani, Iyabo Ojo, Laura Ikeji, Tania Omotayo and Mariam Timmer on The Real Housewives of Lagos reality show.

Weeks ago, Nigerian actress cum businesswoman, Iyabo Ojo revealed she will not be attending The Real Housewives of Lagos season two reunion.

The actress and mother of two stated that the reason is because her loved ones, children, man and family have kicked against her attendance.

This comes after Iyabo Ojo faced backlash following her fight with costars, Laura Ikeji and Faith Morey.
