A social media influencer identified as @belikebaddy has issued a public apology after fabricating a scandalous tweet, falsely attributing it to Nigerian singer Peruzzi.
The tweet alleged an extramarital affair with the wife of Grammy-nominated artist Chioma Adeleke, popularly known as Chioma.
The influencer took to the microblogging platform X to compose a tweet, pretending to be the former DMW records artist Peruzzi.
In the now-deleted tweet, @belikebaddy claimed to have slept with Chioma Adeleke, insinuating that he had found her abandoned by her husband, Davido.
Additionally, he asserted that he was the creative force behind all of Davido’s hit songs.
The fabricated tweet read;
“We used to be so close, but because you hear say I Dey pipe your wife you start to give me attitude I don leave your circle sha. Ungrateful Nigga like say if I no write your songs you for blow.”
The scandalous allegations spread rapidly across social media, prompting reactions and speculations among fans and followers of the artists involved.
Approximately 24 hours after the false tweet gained traction, the influencer issued a public apology, presumably following legal intervention from the teams representing Peruzzi.
In the apology post, @belikebaddy expressed remorse, taking full responsibility for the fabricated content.
“I apologize for posting an edited tweet which involves Peruzzi and Davido. I take full responsibility for all my actions, and I promise it will never happen again. My apologies to DMW management,” the influencer wrote.
