Adekunle Gold asked Deja her name in Yoruba dialect and she responded accordingly


A heartwarming video featuring Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Adekunle Gold Kosoko and his daughter, Deja, has captured the attention of many online.

In the video, Adekunle Gold engaged in conversation with Deja in their native Yoruba dialect, which showed their close father-daughter relationship.

During the interaction, the music star prompts Deja to say her name in Yoruba. He asks, “Kini Oruko e?” which translates to “What’s your name?” in English.

Deja confidently responds, “Oruko mi ni Deja Morewa Kosoko,” meaning “My name is Deja Morewa Kosoko,” demonstrating her grasp of the language.

The highlight of the video was Deja’s adorable attempt at speaking Yoruba, which has garnered reactions from social media users.

In related news, the wife of Adekunle Gold, Simi Kosoko posted on social media a heartwarming video of her daughter, Adejare singing for her father, Adekunle Gold on his 37th birthday.

Adejare, born in May 2020, concluded the birthday song by saying she loves her father.

Simi also joined other short clips of them having fun to the video.

In the caption for the post, Simi left her husband praises/chants in Yoruba to express her love for him.
