- Actresses, actors, musicians amongst others graced the star studded event, looking stunning in their traditional attires.
It was a star studded night at the premiere of Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre as celebrities like Bimbo Ademoye, Aisha Lawal, Sola Sobowale all attended.
The event was held at the Balmoral Convention Center in Lagos on Sunday night, February 26.
Other celebrities at the premiere include Bimpe Akintunde, Muyideen Oladapo aka Lala, Mo Bimpe, Bimbo Akintola, Juliana Olayode, Ojo Pagogo, Jide Awobona, D’banj, Lateef Adedimeji, Jide Kosoko, Femi Adebayo, Biola Bayo, Tobi Makinde and Aunty Ramota.
The long-awaited fate of Saro, played by Kunle Remi, in Kunle Afolayan’s Netflix film Anikulapo was revealed in the sequel Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre.
The trailer was released on Netflix’s official Instagram account on January 30, in which it was announced that the series will be released on March 1.
The one-minute clip shows a series of events surrounding the lead characters Arolake and Saro and the fate that awaits the latter after he is presumed dead.
However, in the first episode of the series, it is revealed that Saro did not only return from the dead, but his character was sent on a mission to kill the twenty persons he resurrected to life using the magical powder obtained from the mystic bird.
Subsequent episode also revealed that Saro would later be captured and returned to Oyo Kingdom where another fate awaits him.
The fate of Arolake played by Bimbo Ademoye was also revealed.
The six episodes series will start showing on March 1.
