American singer Ariana Grande has finally broken her silence on the dating scandal involving her and co-star Ethan Slater.
In January 2024, she released her song ‘Yes And’, which appeared to address the incident.
In an interview with The Zach Sang Show, the singer described her dissatisfaction with the topic as a “hellish feeling.” She added that there have been misunderstandings about the people she loves.
“I feel like we don’t need to go into any specifics. But of course, there’s an insatiable frustration, inexplicable, hellish feeling with watching people misunderstand the people you love, and you and anything,” the singer said.
Recall that in July 2023, Ariana Grande faced widespread criticism after accusations surfaced that she was in a relationship with her then-married co-star Ethan Slater. Grande was still legally married to her husband, Dalton Gomez, even though they were separated at the time.
According to TMZ in 2023, people with direct knowledge indicated that she and Slater began dating during film production, some months before the news became public.
Slater is a Tony Award-nominated actor, singer, composer, and writer best known for his role in the Broadway version of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical. Shortly after his connection with Grande made news, he filed for divorce from his wife, mother of his son, Lilly Jay.
According to TMZ, Ariana Grande was friends with Lilly and Slater while they were still married and used to hang out with them. She also liked Slater’s Instagram posts, including Jay’s Mother’s Day post from months before their relationship became public.
In 2021 Singer Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez reportedly got married in a secret ceremony.
The 27-year-old singer got married to her fiancé, real estate agent Dalton Gomez, 25, over the weekend, TMZ reports. According to “sources with direct knowledge,” the pair tied the knot at Grande’s home in Montecito, California.
A source told TMZ that the wedding wasn’t a big ceremony, and there were only a few guests present to witness them exchange vows in an “informal way.”
