How Zlatan used to give me clothes, money when I was nobody – Carter Efe

Carter Efe berates entertainers who publicize helping the needy

Popular Nigerian skit-maker, Carter Efe, has stated that content creators who make videos as they are helping the needy are only monetizing peoples suffering.

Carter Efe condemned the practice of filming acts of generousity, while opening up on how ace rapper, Zlatan Ibile used to quietly help him before he hit stardom.

He said Zlatan at the time gave him money and clothes when he was still struggling, and nobody knew about it because he did not record a video to announce his kind deed.

The online comedian also revealed that celebrity blogger, Tunde Ednut once gave him N1million and warned him against broadcasting it on social media or telling anybody.

According to Carter Efe, he learnt valuable lessons from those experiences and that is why whenever he wants to help anybody, he does not announce it to the public.

He said:

“These content creators who make videos of people they’re helping are just making money off the sufferings of these helpless people. They’re not genuine. When I was nothing, Zlatan used to give me clothes and money. In fact, he gave me everything. He didn’t do a video so the world could see what he was doing.

Tunde Ednut once gave me 1 million naira and warned me not to tell anybody. These things taught me a lot. This is why when I help anybody, I don’t make noise or say anything about it.”
