- Burna Boy has finally reacted to being honoured by the city of Boston, USA.
- Recall the city’s council declared the 2nd of March “Burna Boy Day”.
- In reaction hours ago, the singer appreciated them for the privilege bestowed on him, stating that the goal has always been to bring the world together.
Afrobeats and dancehall superstar, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has appreciated the declaration of March 2nd as his day in the city of Boston in Massachusetts, United States of America.
It may be recalled that days ago, Boston City Council designated 2nd of March as ‘Burna Boy Day’ in honour of the Grammy winner’s “performances and advocacy works.”
The ‘Last Last’ crooner singer was formally presented a plaque by the Council at the Boston’s leg of his ‘I Told Them’ tour on Saturday.
Burna took to his (Twitter) X page and shared a photo himself lifting the plaque on stage:
“I feel incredibly honoured and privileged! Thank you Boston!
“The goal has always been the same, to bring the world together. We are all so different but all the same! 2nd of March a.k.a Burna Boy Day.”
In other news, Nigerian film actress now book author has joined the series of thespians who have written books. The actress had her book, “Becoming Laide Bakare, Make Millions in 6months” launched on Sunday afternoon March 3, at Piccadilly Lekki, followed by after party at 10pm at the club.
The book launch was tagged standing with vulnerable women and girls (SWAAG) unveiling of SWAAG empowerment by Olaide.
Laide Bakare’s colleagues like Odunlade Adekola, Mercy Aigbe, Seyi Edun, Mistura Asunramu amongst others supported her, congratulating her massively on her achievement.
However, what caught the eye of many of her fans were her outfits during the book launch, as well as the after party.
During the book launch, Laide Bakare wore a cream colored jumpsuit with an orange overalls jacket and at some point, a lilac colored suit and pants. At the club, it was a blue dress.
