The Nigerian music landscape was rocked by a seismic announcement from the esteemed singer and Afro-pop icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba.

The public declaration, which emanated from an Instagram post by manager Efe Omorogbe, CEO of talent management company, Now Muzik, signaled the abrupt termination of the longstanding partnership between the veteran artist and his management team.

According to a public statement released by the music management firm, Now Muzik, it has come to light that the partnership between 2Baba and the company spans an impressive two decades.

Omorogbe conveyed heartfelt gratitude for the privilege of collaborating with 2Baba, emphasizing that their partnership extended far beyond the confines of mere professionalism.

In turn, 2Baba humbly acknowledged the invaluable contributions of Omorogbe and the Now Muzik team to his illustrious career, expressing deep appreciation while acknowledging the bittersweet truth that even the most fruitful partnerships must eventually come to a close.

He wrote: “Everything I’ve been able to achieve is a result of the support of so many people and organisations working with me to bring my talent and vision to life. Now Muzik is one of such companies and I couldn’t be more grateful to them.”
