- In retaliation, BNXN claimed he wrote the song in particular and will release it with or without involving Davido. He also berated fans for blowing online banter out of proportion.
Singer Daniel Benson, popularly known as BNXN (formerly Buju), has vowed to release his collaborative song with Davido even without his approval.
He made this vow while reacting to a report that Davido has deleted the tweet of where he teased their collaboration after the former Burna Boy’s signee shaded him.
The drama started when BNXN, while berating a netizen who trashed his musical talent, threw a jab at Davido, saying the netizen being a fan of the DMW boss had no right to speak on anything music related, insinuating that the netizen has a bad taste for music by associating with Davido.
The Davido’s fan while reacting to a post about BNXN wrote, “He’s mid abeg.’
Angered by his submission, BNXN retorted, “You be retard. Knowing your fave you no suppose dey speak on anything regarding music. Fem!” [sic].
The netizen is a known Davido’s fan on X and has the singer’s ‘Timeless’ album art as his cover photo.
Seemingly angered by the hot shade, Davido reportedly deleted a tweet where he teased a collaboration with BNXN and unfollowed him.
An X user with the handle @Mbadeyforyou wrote, “Omo Davido delete that tweet about him and Buju song. Chaii we are never getting that classic.”
Quoting his tweet, BNXN wrote:
“I’ll drop it. I wrote everything. Tf are you people stressing me out for? Defending my artiste??
“They’ll delete this tweet but I’ve said my own. Nobody can bully me. Fans always blowing shit outta proportion.”
