Drama as MC gets booed by crowd for failing to acknowledge Peter Obi at Herbert Wigwe’s wake keep (VIDEO)
  • Amidst the somber atmosphere of mourning the tragic loss of the late Herbert Wigwe and his family in a devastating helicopter crash, videos capturing moments from his wake keep have been making waves online.
  • Notably, the attendance of esteemed figures like Peter Obi added intrigue to the event.
  • However, tension arose when the MC failed to acknowledge Obi, leading to boos from the crowd and sparking heated reactions across social media platforms

At the wake keep for the late Access Holdings CEO, Herbert Wigwe, the Master of Ceremony (MC) faced backlash and was booed by attendees for neglecting to acknowledge the presence of Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate for the 2023 election, Peter Obi.

In Omueke, Isiokpo community, Rivers State, dignitaries, guests, well-wishers, and loved ones of the late Herbert Wigwe, CEO of Access Holdings, are assembled for their Christian wake, paid respects to him, his wife, and son.

About a month ago, Herbert Wigwe, his wife Chizoba, and their eldest son Chizzy were tragically involved in a fatal air crash in the US. Although funeral rites for the Wigwe family commenced earlier in the week, dignitaries have begun to assemble in Rivers State in preparation for their burial ceremonies.

A widely circulated video captured the MC’s apparent acknowledgment of other distinguished guests at the event, glaringly omitting recognition for Peter Obi.

The crowd’s fury erupted into boos, leaving the MC flustered and bewildered. It wasn’t until later that he came to the realization of his blunder and publicly extended an apology to Peter Obi for the oversight.
