Nigeria’s richest woman, Folorunsho Alakija and husband reportedly end over 30 years marriage

Folorunsho Alakija reportedly separates from her longtime partner

Folorunsho Alakija, Nigeria’s richest woman, and her husband Modupe Alakija, who have been married for over 30 years have reportedly parted ways.

The billionaire businesswoman’s marriage is said to have encountered significant challenges, leading to the couple no longer living together in their family home in Ikoyi, Lagos, despite being parents to four children.

As reported by The Will, the couple has faced frequent conflicts, prompting Folorunsho to seek privacy within her residence.

This decision led her husband to find alternative accommodation nearby.

It was further disclosed that despite their public appearance, the couple’s relationship has been strained for several years, and their united front has primarily been maintained due to their public status.

Drifting to a different report, reality star, Tacha Akide, recently became the centre of attention due to a revelation she made about her personal life.

In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the reality star disclosed that she wakes up at 2am to prepare noodles for her boyfriend, shedding light on her committed relationship status.

Contrary to common perceptions about her, Tacha asserted her belief in her intellectual prowess and asserted her capability to excel in any endeavour she undertakes.

She addressed the misconception that her controversial social media stunts may hinder her romantic prospects, humorously stating that despite what people think, their fathers will want to have her.

Moreover, Tacha hinted at the possibility of her planning a wedding without public knowledge, emphasizing the privacy she maintains regarding her love life.

“Tacha said, “We [me and my partner] could be planning a wedding and you wouldn’t know unless I say otherwise.

“I wake up at 2 am to make noodles for him. I would ask him, what do you want to eat? And in my head I’m like, ‘People would be like Oh God this Tacha on social media.’ And maybe there’s a fight between us, I will tell him, ‘People will think I am the problem but you know you’re the problem.’ Because I’m super nice.”

I do have someone I love and cherish. And most importantly, he understands me. So, even when people are constantly saying, ‘Oh who’s going to settle down with this one?’ I’m like, ‘If your daddy sees me, he’s going to love me.’ He’s going to want me because I’m tall, dark-skinned, cute, and most importantly, I’m a beauty with brains.”
