The 55-year-old said this in a recent interview with Teju Oyelakin, better known as Teju Babyface.
According to Funsho Adeolu, an actor cannot be a politician. He began:
“All these other people they’re not actors, an actor cannot be a politician.”
“I know one who is a politician in Lagos, are you saying he is not an actor?” Teju asked.
“Well, I don’t consider him an actor,” Funsho replied.
“An actor should not be in politics, if you’re an actor who is in politics you were never an actor is that what you are saying?” Teju asked again.
“Yes,” Funsho responded.
Although Funsho did not reveal the identity of the person many believe he is referring to actor and movie producer Desmond Elliot who made a foray into politics in 2015 when he ran for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly for Surulere Constituency 1.
Other actors who have indicated an interest in politics include Kate Henshaw, Femi Branch, Tonto Dikeh and Caroline Danjuma.
Funsho Adeolu also spoke on how many of his colleagues live the fake like for the sake of the gram (public). According to him, many of them would spend bales of cash at a party while being captured on camera but will get home and start calling people, begging them for house rent.
