Disqualified Big Brother Naija housemate Tacha Akide has claimed that feminism practised in Nigeria is akin to witchcraft.
The reality TV star, voiced her opinions on the topic during a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.
Tacha made this comment while addressing her altercation with Mummy Zee
Recall from Tacha’s previous appearance on Phyna’s podcast, She talked about Mummy Zee, the woman who gained notoriety for waking at 4:30 a.m. every day to prepare meals for her husband.
A social media user had informed Mummy Zee that Tacha was insulting her on a show, and Mummy Zee answered, “That one wey no get sense.”
Tacha, who considered the woman’s comment offensive, responded harshly in a series of social media posts.
However, in a trending interview with renowned media personality Chude Jideonwo, Tacha denied the X user’s accusation, claiming that she was defending Mummy Zee on the broadcast.
While explaining her own feminism, Tacha likened Nigerian feminism to witchcraft.
She said:
“So, I was literally praising this woman on my show, saying why was feminist trolling her because I love feminist then.
“I was like the feminism you people practiced in Nigeria is witchcraft because when you are supposed to come out you people won’t come out but for the wrong things you just hate men in general. That’s not what I practiced.”

Earlier during the interview, Tacha revealed that she used to wake up by 2 am to cook for my man .
Contrary to common perceptions about her, Tacha asserted her belief in her intellectual prowess and asserted her capability to excel in any endeavour she undertakes.
She addressed the misconception that her controversial social media stunts may hinder her romantic prospects, humorously stating that despite what people think, their fathers will want to have her.
