Ace Nollywood actor, Norbert Young has disclosed why women earn more money than men in the Nigerian movie industry.
63 year old Nobert Young made the revelation in a recent interview while discussing the evolution of Nollywood and gender pay gap.
Sharing his insights on the development, the actor revealed that women get paid better because of their bargaining power.
Nobert Young also claimed that women attract more money because they are generally well loved, and because they are more gifted than men.
The Checkmate movie star said:
“People love women and what they do because women attract more money. And that doesn’t make them wayward. Women are more gifted than men.”
“Although every actor has their own bargaining power and maybe the women are bargaining better.”
“But I don’t go asking how much you are paid, and you don’t come asking about my pay. Better is relative, I think it all depends on priorities and what is better for you might not be better for me.”
In a similar fashion, film actor, Funsho Adeolu has spoken on the Nigerian entertainment industry as well as his personal life.
In a video that showed clips of him speaking, the actor who is now abroad said many thespians riding big cars only flaunt it for social media.
Funsho Adeolu added that real actors would naturally not venture into politics, stating that he doesn’t see his colleagues who are politicians as real actors.
The 55 year old also spoke on how many of his colleagues live the fake like for the sake of the gram (public). According to Funsho Adeolu, many of them would spend bales of cash at a party while being captured on camera but will get home and start calling people, begging them for house rent.
