BBNaija Season 7 winner, Phyna, has found herself in a heated exchange with Twitter influencer Daniel Regha due to controversial remarks she made in her recent podcast about Edo men.
Phyna, in a recent episode of her podcast, delved into the topic of Edo men and their alleged inclination to prolong relationships without progress towards marriage.
Drawing from her personal experience of a 12-year relationship with an Edo man, she shed light on what she perceived as a common issue among such men.
However, her remarks triggered a wave of backlash from Daniel Regha, who took to social media to criticize the reality star.
Daniel Regha accused Phyna of lacking intelligence and disrespecting Edo men, further alleging discrepancies in her claimed age and the duration of her relationship.
He suggested that Phyna’s statements implied she had started dating at a very young age, which he found problematic.
“Phyna is 26 yrs old according to her BBN & Wikipedia age, but she claims to have dated a man for ’12 years.’ So she started dating at the age of 14? Again, using her poor decision to disrespect Edo State men in general is wrong. She’s always sounding very unintelligent,” Daniel Regha’s comment read.
Responding swiftly, Phyna addressed Daniel Regha’s criticism, asserting that they were both in similar circumstances and accusing him of hypocrisy.
“Daniel, there’s no difference between me and you if we look at it closely… And if gullible Nigerians agree, then we’re in the same boat. So, you either sit this one out or head to YouTube to watch the full podcast. Don’t be a hypocrite,” Phyna wrote.
