Popular American streamer and YouTuber Kai Cenat has donated $2,800 towards the construction of a new school building in the Makoko slums of Lagos.
The generous donation was announced by popular influencer and humanitarian, Michael Oyiga.
Kai Cenat, who recently embarked on a tour to Nigeria, chose Makoko as his first stop.
During his visit, he engaged with local children and expressed a desire to support the community.
True to his word, he pledged a substantial sum to aid in the improvement of educational facilities in the area.
Michael Oyiga took to Twitter to share an update on Kai Cenat’s charitable contribution.
He revealed that the building project, funded by the American YouTuber, has commenced just two weeks after the donation was made.
“Two weeks ago, Kai Cenat came to one of the schools I’ve been looking out for in the slums of Lagos and donated $2,800 for a new building. 3.9 million Naira,” Oyiga wrote.
“Today, the building construction has started. Just wanted to update everyone. For posterity sake.”
