Veteran Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu recently spoke on the death of his colleagues, Mr Ibu and Amaechi Muonagor.
Taking to his official Facebook page, the actor launched a live session where he sent his condolence to the 2 actors.
Speaking about Mr Ibu, Chiwetalu Agu revealed some unknown details about him. He disclosed that he first knew Ibu when he (Ibu) was working as a technician in Onitsha.
He disclosed that Mr Ibu used to repair refrigerators and other items then. However, Mr Ibu who obviously had a burning passion for acting began following him and others to movie sets until one day, he was given a role to play.
Agu noted that the role of an imbecile was assigned to Ibu and he perfectly acted it well, leaving everyone impressed.
According to Chiwetalu Agu, immediately after he saw Mr Ibu’s unique style of acting, he knew he was going to make it big in the industry.
He further wished the actor an eternal rest.
Speaking about Amaechi Muonagor’s death, he also described it as an untimely exit, stating that Muonagor passed out when many least expected it.
He concluded by stating that nobody can question God while sending his condolences.
He wrote:
“My tribute to our very own legend late veteran Actor John Okafor a. k. a mr Ibu and late Veteran Actor Amechi Muonagor.
I pray they find peace where ever they are and that may the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace Amen”
