Grammy row: Davido unfollows Rexxie

Davido is clearly adopting a "talk less, act more" approach when it comes to handling anyone bold enough to throw shade or disrespect his name on social media. Just weeks after cutting ties with BNXN for taking a swipe at him, Davido has once again taken decisive action by hitting the unfollow button on Rexxie following his sly dig about the Grammys.

Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, famously known as Davido, has ignited a social media storm by unfollowing renowned record producer Ezeh Chisom Faith, also known as Rexxie, on Instagram.

The move comes after Rexxie delivered a subtle but biting jab aimed at Davido regarding the Grammys.

In the midst of a fiery Twitter spat with a die-hard Davido devotee, Rexxie, flaunting his musical accolades, dropped a bombshell by boasting about his Grammy nods for his stellar production work on Burna Boy’s chart-topping album “Twice As Tall” and the Grammy-nominated banger “Do Yourself” by Angelique Kidjo and Burna Boy.

With swagger and bravado, Rexxie boldly claimed to have clinched a Grammy nomination before Davido.

He wrote in a now-deleted tweet, “Before your fav get Grammy I’ve already gotten it. I no use sympathy or dance with kids on uniform or attend the show early with my full squad and family members. Respect!”

Davido wasted no time firing back at Rexxie’s audacious claim, swiftly hitting the unfollow button on social media, effectively cutting ties with the producer.

A quick glance at the gram confirmed the severed connection, that marked a clear response to Rexxie’s provocation.

Interestingly, this move comes hot on the heels of Rexxie’s revelation just few weeks prior, wherein he disclosed that Davido extended a helping hand when he found himself in a bind, detained in Uganda.

The producer, while calling for help, urged fans to demand for his release with the hashtag, “UgandaFreeRexxie.”
