‘Proper yoruba man’ – Fans gush over video of Davido prostrating at family event in Ibadan

This was exemplified in a video of Davido, a prominent music star, humbly bowing and paying homage to his family members, which left fans swooning with admiration.


Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, famously known as ‘Davido’, was seen attending a family event at the International Conference Centre of the University of Ibadan.

According to reports, the DMW star, who made headlines recently for acquiring a new jet, was in Ibadan to participate in the 40th-day fidau prayer of the late Alhaji Aderemi Tohir Sanni, the husband of his aunt, Yeyeluwa of Edeland, Mrs. Dupe Adeleke-Sanni.

A viral video circulating on social media captured Davido prostrating to greet family members, notably his uncle, Osun state governor, and Senator Ademola Adeleke, during the recent event.

Dressed in traditional attire, the DMW label boss showcased his cultural respect, a gesture that garnered praise from numerous fans applauding his demonstration of Yoruba traditions.

This is coming few hours after the DMW Boss sent many of his fans into overdrive on social media with the news of his latest acquisition. 

The singer took to his X page to announce the arrival of his brand-new private jet.

Davido, over the years, has been famous for his love for luxury and expensive automobiles, but it seems he has now taken it to a whole new level.

In the viral post on his page, Davido revealed the name of his new private jet, the maker and how much it cost him.

According to the price details on the official website of the plane’s manufacturer, a Bombardier 7500 costs $81m. When converted to naira this would be an equivalent of N104bn.
