Junior Pope is alive and receiving treatment – AGN president, Emeka Rollas

When rumors of Junior Pope's boat mishap and supposed demise stormed the internet, fans and colleagues were left speechless, caught in a whirlwind of uncertainty, clinging to a glimmer of hope for a miraculous turn of events. Just as agitation peaked, footage emerged of him being revived, offering a flicker of optimism, though skepticism lingered until the President of the AGN stepped up to officially affirm his survival and ongoing medical care


The illustrious President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, has set the record straight and put our nerves at ease by assuring us that the talented actor, Junior Pope, who was falsely rumored to to have kicked the bucket, is still very much alive.

Junior Pope was earlier said to have fallen into the River Niger in Asaba, Delta state on his way to a movie location.

It was gathered he was in the company of some other actors.

Reactiing on his Instagram page, Rollas said the actor is alive and was receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

He wrote, “What God cannot do does not exist.Junior Pope is alive, He is taking treatment in the hospital.”

Some moments later, the unfortunate incident happened. News of his passing had filled the internet but hours later, a video showed some men trying to resuscitate him.

In a video shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday, April 10, hours before his rumoured demise, the actor seemed scared of the river as he told the man controlling the boat to take it easy.

He added that he is the only child of his parents, and he has three children that he is taking care of. The role interpreter, who was going to a movie location without a life jacket, noted that his wish was to take care of his children
