Nollywood actress Abigail Nebechi has taken to social media to call out her fellow colleagues for their behavior regarding the sharing of news and celebrating moments of joy.
In a recent post, Abigail Nebechi expressed her disappointment at the tendency of Nollywood actors to quickly share news of tragedy or unfortunate events but neglect to celebrate and acknowledge positive occasions.
The catalyst for Nebechi’s criticism appears to be the recent incident involving fellow actor Jnr Pope, who was initially reported to have survived a drowning accident.
Nebechi highlighted the disparity in attention, noting that while actors rushed to share updates on Jnr Pope’s condition when it was dire, they often failed to extend the same level of enthusiasm or timeliness when it came to celebrating birthdays or other moments of happiness.
Abigail Nebechi emphasized the need for Nollywood actors to be more supportive and attentive to both the highs and lows experienced by their peers.
She urged her colleagues to make a conscious effort to celebrate and uplift one another during moments of joy, rather than solely rallying together in times of tragedy.
In her words;
“Nollywood people Una Weldon ,so una sabi rush post person death but if na person birthday now will wait till 9pm,10pm even some till d next day.
