The crew of Nollywood actor Junior Pope has confirmed his untimely death following a boat mishap in Asaba.

The initial confusion surrounding the actor’s condition, which saw a flurry of social media reports claiming his death, was clarified by Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), who later deleted a post affirming the actor’s survival.

However, the latest update from Junior Pope’s crew paints a grim picture of the circumstances leading to his passing.

Stanley Ontop, a member of the late actor’s team, revealed in a live Instagram session that Junior Pope was indeed revived after being rushed to the hospital.

Despite this initial glimmer of hope, the actor faced a critical setback due to the lack of essential medical resources.

Ontop disclosed that the hospital where Junior Pope was admitted failed to provide the necessary oxygen supply crucial for his immediate treatment.

Tragically, Junior Pope’s condition deteriorated rapidly, and he was ultimately declared dead by the attending physician.
