- The actor announced this following the death of Junior Pope and 4 other crew members on April 10th.

Famous Nollywood actor, Sylvester Madu and a few others have commenced a 7-day prayer and fasting for Nollywood.
The movie star proposed this after the unfortunate demise of Jnr Pope and 4 other crew members as a result of a boat accident in Anam River, Anambra State.
Sylvester made the announcement, stating that it would last from the 15th to the 21st of April.
Calling on people to join him, he wrote:
“I, SYLVESTER MADU PROPOSE 7 DAYS OF PRAYER AND FASTING IN AND FOR NOLLYWOOD 15th April — 21st April.
Join me as I propose a 7 days if Prayer and fasting in and for Nollywood and the Practioners. 15th April to 21st April. Evil prevail when good men do nothing, evil prevail also when we dont pray as Christian’s. So kindly join me daily online on kingschat or zoom as we pray and fast for ourselves and colleagues in Nollywood. Link to join will be sent on my WhatsApp status and all nollywood platforms and my social media platforms too You can break your fast from 2pm, 4pm or 6pm. And at 2pm to 2.15pm, 4pm to 4.15pm, 6pm to 6.15pm we will pray for 15 minutes at each of this times daily for 7 days. I will be sending prayer points daily and will also be live daily on tiktok facebook and instagram at each of these 15 minutes to lead us in this prayer times.”
In a recent development, Madu took to his Instagram page where he posted a clip that captured the moment of an intense prayer session.
