Why female singers should support each other more – Singer, Rose May Alaba
  • Rose May Alaba noted that a lot of female artists collaborate with male artists more than their female counterparts.

Austrian-Nigerian singer, Rose May Alaba has called for solidarity among female musicians.

She highlighted a trend where collaborations predominantly feature male artists.

During an engaging segment on Hip TV’s show “Trending,” Alaba shared her insights, stating that such alliances have the potential to amplify the impact of female singers.

She stated that male artists tend to band together more frequently, possibly due to their greater sense of openness, emphasizing that it’s time for female artists to embrace this openness and enhance their artistry through mutual support and collaborations.

Ste said:

“We always have collaborations with men but what about collaborating with each other? Collaborating with each other would even help us more. Well, it may take time because female artists are only just starting to get recognition.

“Personally, I think men collaborate more because they are more open than women. We should try and change that by complementing each other.”

In another story, Rose May Alaba opens up on why she can’t date or marry a footballer .

In her opinion, football players require constant care and attention, which hampers her desire for independence and pursuing her own aspirations.

During her appearance on the popular TV show, Trending, hosted by reality star KimOprah, Rose May Alaba elaborated on this topic.

According to Rose May, having a soccer player as a boyfriend would necessitate devoting too much time and effort to their needs. She expressed that she values her autonomy and wishes to lead an independent life.

“I don’t want to have a soccer player as a boyfriend because you have to cater for them way too much.

“I need my own life, I want to be independent as well.”
