I’m scared – Davido reacts to ‘impeachment’ threat

Davido, a household name in the music industry with a colossal following on social media, found himself at the center of attention once again. In the aftermath of his lighthearted post on social media, he was met with a startling impeachment threat, one that even the usually unflappable artist couldn't help but acknowledge had rattled him to the core.

Famed Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, recently took to his social media platform to express his unease over certain threats directed at him by his fans.

The music sensation wasted no time in firing back at a fan who dared to suggest instigating plans for his impeachment as the president of the 30BG Geng.

The fan’s remark came as a direct response to Davido’s tweets asserting his control over leaks concerning himself, his family, and his music in the online realm.

The Nigerian singer earlier on Saturday, on April 20, 2024, dropped a post online on how he intends to deal with snippet leaks of his unreleased songs.

OBO said: “If you hear a snippet .. It is never coming out.”

In response, a fan, known as Kelly Bonito on X, penned a scathing remark;

“I hope say na Martell dey body, na why you talk this talk? If na ordinary eyes, we go comot you from 30BG, use Logos Olori do president.”

Davido, in a biting retort, sarcastically unveiled his apparent fear of his fan’s scheme to impeach him over his social media post.

He wrote;

Wow I’m scared’

In related news, after being the flagship artist of HKN at the start of his career before launching Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), the Nigerian megastar has now partnered with United Masters to launch a new label.

On April 18, 2024, the news of the partnership was shared by United Masters via their official Instagram page in what they termed a “groundbreaking collaboration with Davido”.

Davido’s new record label Nine+ follows the recent rebranding of DMW 2.0 to which he signed Morravey and Logos Olori who both appeared on his Grammy-nominated fourth album ‘Timeless’.
