With anticipation mounting among fans and Nigerians alike for the burial arrangements of the beloved actor Pope Obumneme Odonwodo, fondly referred to as Junior Pope, the Nollywood fraternity, in conjunction with family and friends, orchestrated a a candlelight service to commemorate his legacy.
In a widely circulated video circulating online, a gathering of young men and women donning somber black attire emerged en masse to pay their respects to the late luminary and the four other individuals who met a similar tragic fate in boat accident.
Linc Edochie and Sylvester Madu, both esteemed colleagues of Junior Pope, took charge, guiding the assembled crowd in a solemn procession to pay tribute to the late actor and the other victims.
The candlelight procession, held in Enugu state, became a solemn occasion for many to offer prayers for the eternal repose of the departed souls.

Recall that the energetic actor died on April 10 alongside four crew members while on their way to shoot a movie ‘The Other Side of Life’ directed by Adanma Luke.
Adanma Luke, in a video shared on her Instagram page, spoke on the boat accident, stated that contrary to popular belief, she had provided life jackets for them.
The filmmaker added that the sad situation still feels like a dream, and she wished she remained in Lagos to shoot her movie.
She revealed that the incident had left her traumatised and that she was meant to be on the boat with them Aalongside her brother’s two children.
Adanma Luke further revealed that this was her first time working with the deceased star despite the closeness they shared.
