- The filmmaker cum movie actress started on Sunday afternoon by celebrating her two competitors, Mercy Aigbe and Funke Akindele, advising that they stop unhealthy competition.
- On Monday, April 22, Toyin Abraham mentioned more colleagues who stood by her and have impacted her career.
Hours after the unexpected open letter that sparked mixed reactions online, award winning filmmaker cum movie star, Toyin Abraham made a new list to appreciate those who stood by her when she started her journey to stardom.
Toyin Abraham shared a photo of herself with a lengthy message, calling out the names of those who guided her, opened doors and picked her when she began her career.
The Ijakumo star said she is mindful of them as they made her journey filled with experience and easy to navigate.
Toyin Abraham mentioned the likes of Fathia Williams, Saidi Balogun, Opeyemi Aiyeola, Muyiwa Ademola, Femi Adebayo, Mr Muyideen, to mention but a few.
She specifically thanked Iyabo Ojo for making her journey a beautiful one.
The box office queen also expressed gratitude to marketers, producers and directors who put their sweat and blood to see her excel.
Toyin Abraham however apologized for not being able to mention all names, but assured them that she’s appreciative of them. She wrote:
“Today, as I begin the week. I cast my mind back to those who made the journey of my life easier. Those God sent my way to guide, open doors for me, pick me up and were there for me especially in the early days of the Yoruba movie industry.
From Aunty Bukky, Aunty Faithia, Uncle Saidi, Aunty Ope,uncle muyiwa,bro femi, mr muyideen, aunty bisi ,bro Afeez,bro bayo,my colleagues and those who were friends in those days to Aunty Iyabo @iyaboojofespris , you made my journey quite an experience.
The marketers, producers and directors who put in the money and the sweat and some their blood, without you, we wouldn’t know the industry could be this big. Thank you.
Please I am not able to mention every name, please note that if you have been good to me or once close to me and you have contributed to this journey, I thank you. You were Godsent. Eyin na ma ba alanu pade.”
Over the weekend, Toyin Abraham penned an open letter to Funke Akindele and Mercy Aigbe over the rivalry which took a toll on them personally and in their careers.
Toyin Abraham celebrated her competitors in the Nollywood industry, acknowledging their hard work.
The actress and mother of one said competition can be positive and hailed Mercy Aigbe for not making it negative.
