Following her viral fame for vibing to Wizkid’s song, an Ikorodu-based woman, known as @je_ponmoe_gbogboikorodu on TikTok, found herself at the centre of rumors claiming she received N50 million from the superstar singer.
Her video, featuring her singing along to Wizkid’s “Matter” track, quickly amassed over two million views and circulated widely across social media platforms, attracting the attention of Wizkid’s fans who flooded her page.
In response to the speculation surrounding the alleged payment from Wizkid, the woman addressed the rumours, revealing that her direct messages (DMs) had been inundated since the rumours began.
Setting the record straight, she clarified that Wizkid did not send her any money, using the opportunity to share her plea for financial assistance from the singer.
Speaking in Yoruba, she expressed her frustration, stating,
“Help me! People have been bothering me that Wizkid gave me N50M; help me! I have over 50 account numbers in my DM. I don’t have anything o, help me. Some have even named me Mama Wizkid. I did not receive any money,”
