The incident began when Davido took to Twitter now X to express his need for an electric car charger to be shipped to Nigeria.
However, a netizen identified as SeniorManAndre seized the opportunity to criticize the musician, labeling him a fool and questioning why he couldn’t procure the charger from the same place he bought the electric car.
In a swift and unapologetic response, Davido retorted, “that one na your papa’s business,” igniting a firestorm of reactions from netizens who quickly drew comparisons to a similar statement made by fellow musician Wizkid in a separate incident.
Just a few weeks prior, Wizkid had engaged in a similar exchange on Twitter where he asserted that money does not buy love.
When a fan contested his statement, Wizkid replied with the now-infamous phrase, “that one na your papa’s business.”
