The Toronto police department received reports of the shooting at approximately 2:09 a.m. ET in the affluent Bridle Path neighborhood, where Drake’s residence is located.

In an emotional statement released , the chart-topping artist revealed his decision to step away from the spotlight for an indefinite period, recognizing the urgent need to take care of his physical well-being.

Drake disclosed this on his SiriusXM radio show, Table For One, on Friday, just hours after the release of his new album, ‘For All The Dogs.’

He stressed that he had been dealing with stomach troubles for years and that the break, which would last for a year or more, would allow him to concentrate on his health.
