‘People say I’m better than Wizkid’ – Speed Darlington

Speed Darlington has addressed the ongoing debates about his musical prowess in relation to Wizkid.

He has urged his followers to refrain from comparing between him and Wizkid.

Speed Darlington stated that he has observed a recurring theme among his fanbase, where many assert that his talents surpass those of Wizkid.

This sentiment according to him, does not sit well with him.

The singer has however ,openly voiced his dissatisfaction with these comparisons, emphasizing the uniqueness of his own path in the music world.

With nearly eight years of experience under his belt, speed Darlington pointed out that despite his longevity in the industry, he has never personally crossed paths with Wizkid.

He did, however, mention a moment of recognition from Wizkid in New York, where his music received a nod of approval.

During an interactive Instagram live session, Darlington implored his audience, questioning the basis of the comparisons and highlighting the distinct trajectories of their careers.

He reminded fans of his upcoming eight-year milestone in the industry on May 16 or 17, reiterating the absence of any direct interaction with Wizkid, aside from the latter’s acknowledgment of his work in the past.

In his words:

“Why are people telling me that I am better than Wizkid? How do I and Wizkid correlate? Do you know how many years I’ve been in this industry? Seven years. Next year, May 17 or 16, I will be 8 years in the industry and I’ve never met Wizkid. Although he has previously acknowledged me in New York. He posted one of my songs. Please, stop the comparison.”

In another story, Speed Darlington calls out mother’s sister for allegedly threatening to end him over land dispute.

The controversy surrounding the issue began when Speed disclosed that his relatives had gifted him the land back in 1994 before he travelled to America in 2001.
