Big Brother Naija reality star, Beauty Tukura, who won last year’s Best Dressed Award has boasted after losing out at the 10th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, AMVCA.
It would be recalled that the 10th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards was held on Saturday at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos state.
The ex-beauty queen lost the chance to bag the award for the Best Dressed Female, after winning it during the last year’s edition.
She boasted about her last year’s win, and noted that she intends to keep snagging the Award every year until further notice.
Beauty Tukura shared a photo of herself in her ethereal dress and held up the award she won.
Sharing a picture of herself with her award via Instagram, Beauty wrote:
“Still Best Dressed 2023/2024… until further notice #AMVCA10.”
Another Big Brother Naija reality star, Venita Akpofure, won the Best Dressed Female award for the second year in a row at the 10th AMVCA Cultural Day and Opening Night celebration on Friday.
BBNaija’s Neo, Venita’s cousin won the Best Dressed Male award.
The duo donned Itsekiri royal attires and were presented cheques of N1 million each by the organisers.
Meanwhile, ‘Breath of Life’ was the biggest winner at the 10th AMVCA, scooping six awards, including Best Movie, Best Director (BB Sasore), Best Lead Actor (Wale Ojo), Best Supporting Actor (Ademola Adedoyin), Best Supporting Actress (Genoveva Umeh), and Trailblazer (Chimezie Imo).
Surprisingly, Funke Akindele’s record-breaking film, ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ was snubbed.
‘A Tribe Called Judah’ lost all five nominations despite becoming the first Nigerian movie to gross over N1 billion in cinemas last December. This sparked shock and disappointment from the actress cum filmmaker’s fans.
The AMVCA is an annual award presented by MultiChoice recognising outstanding achievements in television and film. The razzmatazz, glamour and emotions that accompanies the most viewed movie awards in Africa, has added to its value as new kings and queens of the tubes are crowned.
