Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi couldn’t withhold her happiness for her colleague and long-time friend, Kehinde Bankole, who bagged an award at the just concluded AMVCA ceremony.

Recall at the 10th edition of the award ceremony, Kehinde Bankole beat other contending nominees to win the Best Lead Actress for her phenomenal role in Adire. This would be the second time the movie star has won the Best Actress title as she first won it in 2015.

In a video captured online after the award ceremony, Toyin Abraham was seen hailing Kehinde Bankole on her win. She declared the movie star the best actress in Africa and expressed pride in her. The video captured Kehinde in the centre as Toyin strolled around her, singing her praises.

Captioning the video, Kehinde expressed love for her, describing Toyin as her friend with a fine face who loves to play too much.

Kehinde Bankole wrote:

“@toyin_abraham Dada, my friend with a fine face and too much playfulness. Ha wahala e po, my dearest. I love you truly”.

Commenting on it, Toyin noted how she has turned Kehinde into something else and congratulated her once again on the award. Toyin responded in the comment section:

“I have turned you into something else; congratulations once again, my baby. Love u so much”.

Reacting to the video Kehinde Bankole posted, while some fans expressed genuine joy over the actress’s win, some called out Toyin Abraham for chasing clout and being happy because her colleague, Funke Akindele did not win said award like many expected.

This comes after Toyin made a statement to celebrate Funke, Mercy Aigbe and urged her colleagues to embrace healthy competition .
